  1. This beaming, friendly van reminds me of the RV we owned 1983 – 1985ish. Ask Bill if he remembers the Itasca RV we had in Silver City, our camper van…what a little rider he was, screaming the name of each and every truck we whizzed by (actually the trucks wooshed by us). RV traveling was quite slow. Or perhaps he remembers the returning trip from Grandpa & Grandma Collins River House via Juarez. The Juarez debacle was the only time visiting Mexico we purchased nada, nothing, not a thing but still, serious looking Border Patrol cops and a nasty drug dog that Bill wanted as his best friend tore our vehicle about. It was HOTTTTT of course and Bill and Pat were unhappy campers. .What in the world did Border Patrol agents think we were hiding…we were just trying to survive a 1000-mile trip with a tiny baby and precocious 2-year old. What were they thinking?By-the-by.. Bill…the picture of you, Pat, GP Bill and Dad in the wooden hot tub was taken on that trip. This beaming, friendly van reminds me of the RV we owned 1983 – 1985ish.
