We woke up a couple mornings ago and found this little guy across the street napping on the grass. No sign of mama around – and we plus the neighbors looked around and up extensively before heading outside. We watched him limp across the street and take refuge under the neighbor’s car.
So we called a ranger to come help him out. While we waited, we hung out on the curb eating donuts and drinking coffee and watching him snuggle up to the car tires. We also warned a few dog walkers and mountain bikers to tread slowly and carefully.
Now he’s been taken to a rehab facility to heal that rear limp and fatten up so he can be returned to frolic with his own. This is another thing we probably won’t experience in Germany next year. Happy trails, little fellow!
Wait, I think I missed something. Germany?
Yes! Sabbatical year, baby! We leave in 13 days for 13 months in germany (and surrounds). Woo hoo!
Poor little guy 🙁
