Bill’s first phone interview was this morning. Newville College* in Pennsylvania is the first one to take Bill to the next level, and since their deadline was extremely early and they’re fairly prestigious, we have reason to hope that there will be more to follow. In the meantime, things went well, according to Bill, and was at least really good practice for all the many interviews to come.
So it has begun, folks! We are on our way to knowing our next address. Ooo — chills!
*In case there are confidentiality issues with applicants and search committees and so forth, the name of the school has been changed.

I looked up NewVille on the web and they look like a nice bouncy little school. Hope to hear the particulars soon.
