Reassurance

It’s always nice to know that what you’re eating is real food. You know, real. Like it came from an actual plant source somewhere and is therefore acceptable to eat.
A cherry pit from a jar of cherry jam. This also means that the food item is healthy, right?

  1. Once upon a time, someone I know made a cherry pie out of unpitted cherries.

Lets see if that person actually adds a comment to this string. They usually read the blog.

  2. OK Guilty as charged It must have been in my early days, when I didn't know much. the can said cherries and that was all I needed to know. I also went to the store for my mama with instructions to buy sauerkraut and when I got home, it just happend to be sauerkraut juice. My mother sent me right back to the grocer to trade it for the right thing. My thought was that she was overreacting !! We only lived about 2 blocks from the store.

  3. Back to the cherry pie story – we had a family belief that if you ate a piece of cherry pie and got a pit, it meant good luck. Imagine our surprise when we all ended up with a mouthful of pits!! I don't think that it was anything that she ever repeated. And yes, you've figured out who it was! Love you all!
